Toddler/Pre-school Interviews

Hi everyone...it's been forever since I have written - although it appears that it has been awhile since live journal has been active. Emma and Michael are both doing well. And, I hope/think I have hit a stride with both kids. I/Michael are still am not sleeping through the night....and we are working on it. Emma has successfully transitioned to a twin bed with guard rails for both naps and overnights. We are absolutely moving it positive directions.

I am writing about interviewing toddler/pre-school programs....does anyone have any advice? What should I be looking at or asking? What would I want to know that they did or had or didn't have? I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks, Erin

Baby Leif

So sorry that Fynn and I have been MIA for so long. The reason why? Fynn is a BIG BROTHER!!

He is beautiful and is doing very well. We are so excited (exhausted) and having lots of fun.

We miss everyone terribly. Happy Halloween to all!

Vacations again =)

Did you ever tried cruise

We never did, so now we are trying to decide if it's a good idea.

What do you think?
Hello all!

I just wanted to say hi - we are all settled now in Concord, NH, and I haven't remembered to check LiveJournal in ages! It is great to get some glimpses of your lives. I hope you can post some pictures onto the site soon, I would love to see how big everyone is now. We have new pictures up at http://flickr.com/photos/calebandtricia/.

Concord is a great town and we love our house (which we are just renting for the year we'll be here). Ruby is having a blast, I think she likes having more room (our apartment in Cambridge was pretty small) and also she loves the trees and squirrels and such. My mom is living with us and taking care of Ruby during the day, which is working out well (and we have enough space that it's not too hard having a new roommate).

I hope you all are doing great, I think about you all a lot and miss you! If you are ever up my way please come visit!!

Apple Picking

Is anyone interested in planning an apple picking adventure in the next couple of weeks?  The weather has been so beautiful, I think it could be fun!  I know Elena mentioned Lookout Farm in South Natick as a great place.  There is also Honey Pot Hill in Stow.  We are available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fri. Oct. 5 as well as on the weekends.  I think we should plan for early in the day to avoid crowds (9:30-10ish?) or much later in the day for the same reason (after 3:30).  What do people think?

I just wanted to share with everyone the birth of our son, Michael Lawrence on August 25th. He was 8 lbs, 10oz and 21 inches long. Labor started Saturday morning around 8 and he was born at 6:15 pm. All are doing well...we did have a little scare on Tuesday night after spending hours in Children's ER to find that Michael has a non-displaced fracture of the skull. It appears that the fracture was the result of the birth process. It will take 4-6 weeks to heal and he will be good as new.

Emma is doing well, although I still have my mother in town for another week and Emma is glued to her hip, getting lots of attention. She has had a different schedule every day (her own doing), which has been tricky. She is very affectionate with Michael - her new favorite thing is hold Michael and she likes to do that all the time.

I'll keep everyone posted on what it is like after my Mom leaves....

I'm thinking of everyone; especially those who are returning to work soon.

Take care,

Garden in the Woods

Is anyone interested in going to Garden in the Woods for a stroll next Friday?  I've been wanting to check it out there for a long time - it's supposed to be really nice.  The link is pasted below.  Let me know!
